The management of Ghana Education Service has reacted to the strike action declared by the four (4) teacher unions NAGRAT, GNAT, TEWU and CCT-GH, on Monday July 4, 2022.

In the press statement
signed by the Head, Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the
management of the Ghana Education Service is urging heads of all basic schools
to keep schools opened and closely supervise all school children who report to
school pending further directives from management of GES.
According to the
statement, Management of GES has invited the leaders of the aggrieved leaders
of the four teacher unions to a meeting to discuss the development and the way
forward.
Heads of Senior
High Schools have been directed through the Regional and District Directors to
mobilse their management teams to ensure the safety and well being of all
students in schools.
As a result of this,
the outfit is urging Parents to remain calm and also be assured that management
is closely monitoring and will advise on the way forward accordingly.
