The Minister of Education, Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum has apologized to the newly trained teachers who have not received their staff Ids neither to talk of Salaries, for the delay of their staff Ids and for that matter, their salaries.
The Director General of Education, Professor Akwasi Amankwaah in an interview earlier last week asked newly posted teachers who are yet to receive their staff Ids to find themselves some “Galamsey” activities to feed on.
He further reiterated that, before they (Newly Posted Teachers) were given the appointments, they were eating.
This as a result got the new teachers who have starved for almost seven months angry and demanded for an apology from him for which he has stayed adamant.
In a video sited by the editorial staffs of gesupdates.com, the minister of Education, Hon. Osei Yaw Adutwum has in a grand style rendered an apology to the teachers who have still not received their staff Ids on Asaase radio on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
According to the Minister, he is not aware that the Staff Ids of the newly posted teachers have not being released.
“Tell them I apologize. No one should work for seven months without being paid” he told the host of the show on Asaase Radio to apologize on his behalf.
In addition, he promised to do what is expected of him as the Minister of the sector to solve the problem of the seven months starvation of the new teachers in no time.
