The Ghana Labour Commission in a press statement dated July 4, 2022 has urged the four Teacher Unions namely National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) and Coalition of Concerned Teachers )CCT-GH), to revoke the decision and lay off the strike action to pave way for the process of engagement to ensue.
This is as a result of a joint press conference by the said Teacher Unions above in declaring an indefinite nationwide strike on Monday July 4, 2022 due to the government’s failure to pay them the 20% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).
