Three (3) Final-Year Students of a Renowned SHS in Ashanti Region Arrested for Robbery

Some three final-year students of Opoku Ware Senior High School in the Ashanti Region have been nabbed by the Ghana Police for their engagement in a robbery attack.

The final years students who are said to fall within 17-19 age range are alleged to hire a taxi to Golden Tulip from Santasi in the late hours of Monday August 15, 2022.

Reports have it that, after they got to the Said destination (Goldern Tulip), they (The student robbers) told the driver that they are rather going to Rotary Park.

On their way to the Rotary Park, one of the Final Year Students pulled a tool which is alleged to be a knife to assail the driver from behind.

The taxi driver irrespective of the attack from behind continuously drove his car which led to a crash around Vienna City.

The driver was then quick to shout that he was being attacked by the boys when the nearby residents taught it was an accident.

Two out of the the three (3) were arrested and sent to the police.

According to Ashanti Region correspondent for UTV, the third student who found his way out at the scene was later arrested by the police upon further interrogation.
