Teachers Asked to Disregard Alleged Deduction of Professional Development Allowance for purchasing Modems

The Ministry of Education has asked teachers to Disregard an Alleged Deduction to be made out of their Professional Development Allowance, slated to be paid together with November’ Salaries.

Ministry of Education under the auspices of Hon. Osei Yaw Adutwum, in a press statement signed by the Public Relation Unit of the said ministry has written to debunk the trending news alleging that deductions would be made from the Professional Development Allowance (PDA) of teachers , for purchasing Modems and Teaching and Learning Materials (TLM) for them.
The Ministry is therefore stating that no such arrangements have been made, and for that matter, such publications should be disregarded.

According to statement, it must be noted that teachers remain pivotal in the promotion and development of education in Ghana and are key transformation agenda being executed bu the Government.

It is worth to note that the ministry remains committed to paying the allowance to enable teachers build their professional capabilities
