Do GALOP Schools Receive additional monies after the Base Grant of Ghc 2,500.00?

Information gathered enough from operanewsgh from some Districts in the Ashanti and Ahafo Region reveal that each GALOP School is given an amount of two thousand five hundred Ghana Cedis (GhC 2,500.00) every first term. That is known as Base Grant.

This is to last for five academic years, it started from 2021 and to end in 2026 hopefully.

Ghana Education Service as well, offers each GALOP school five Ghana Cedis (GhC 5.00) per pupil, that is also known as the Enrollment Grant.

Heads of Schools and their Assistants have therefore been given tuition on how to access the GALOP Grant. They (Heads) are to draw yearly budget which would be presented to the Ghana Education Service Headquarters through the District and Regional Education Offices.

Unlike the conventional capitation grant, the GALOP grant will be credited to the accounts of the selected schools directly. Heads can access this grant without approval or clearance by the District Director of Education.

The Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project Grant should be used for activities that will help to improve learning outcomes and increase enrollment drive only.
