Ghana Education Service Validates and Aligns HR Data for Improved Human Resource Management
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced plans to implement its Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) to enhance its HR data management. As part of the approved strategies, the public services commission has requested that GES validate and align its HR data to ensure a smooth migration.
In response, GES is facilitating this process by providing a template to validate and align data on management units within directorates. The HR data to be validated and aligned include organizational structure, promotions, transfers, and other relevant information.
Effective from March 1st, 2023, GES has instructed that documents related to changes in name, bank, transfers, promotions, and other HR data should not be forwarded to headquarters for training and roll-out purposes.
The implementation of the HRMIS by GES is a significant step towards enhancing its human resource management practices. With this initiative, GES is better positioned to improve its service delivery.
According to them, All stakeholders are encouraged to cooperate as they work towards the successful implementation of the HRMIS by GES.
