Announcement of 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) Date
- Ghana National Teaching Council (NTC), is an institution that registers teachers in the Ghana Education Service. If you are a teacher, aspiring to become a professional in Ghana, passing the licensure examination conducted by NTC is a must.
- Since its inception in 2018, the licensure examination has proven to be effective in testing the usual professional skills: Numeracy, Literary, and Essential skills. NTC conducts the exam at least twice a year, and candidates who trail in any of these skills must do a resit to redeem themselves. With three attempts to pass, the exam provides an opportunity for candidates to become professional teachers. However, failure to pass after the third attempt may result in the management of NTC taking the necessary action.
- It is important to note that writing and passing the licensure examination is now a requirement for employment for anyone with an educational background wishing to train or nurture children.
- During the 9th Meeting of the Awards Committee on the Ghana Teaching Licensure Examination in 2022, Dr. Christian Addai announced that the 2023 edition of the GTLE will be conducted in March. Although the actual date and day have not been announced, it is important for the general public to take note of when this year's edition of the licensure examination will commence.
