Heads of Basic Schools directed to Submit names of students to GES’ Headquarters before April 7, 2023

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has called for the submission of the names of all Junior High School (JHS) 1 to JHS3 students (both public and private) to the Director-General of GES for an urgent and important exercise. The exercise is scheduled to take place for the 2022/2023 academic year, and the submission of data should be done through the respective Regional Directors via email on or before 7th April, 2023.

Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education have been directed to collect the names of all JHS1 to JHS3 students in both public and private schools as per the 2022 EMIS census data. This information should be submitted through their respective Regional Directors to the Director-General via email: schoolsandinstructions@ges.gov.gh.

Heads of Basic Schools are expected to comply with the directive by submitting the names of their students without fail to their respective Metro/Municipal/District Education Directorates as quickly as possible for onward submission to the GES Headquarters.

This is a critical exercise, and Regional Directors of Education are expected to communicate this information to Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to inform all Heads of Basic Schools and ensure that the data is submitted within the stipulated time.
