Requirements and Application Process for Interested Professional Teachers in the Central Region.
Assistant Headmaster/Headmistress positions are available in several Senior High Technical Schools located in the Central Region. Qualified professional teachers are invited to apply for consideration of appointment.
Applicants must meet the following strict requirements:
a. Must hold a Graduate Professional Teacher qualification and possess at least five (5) years of teaching experience in a Second Cycle School. A Second Degree is considered an advantage.
b. Must be on the grade of Assistant Director I or above and have held that grade for at least two (2) years.
c. Must be willing and able to serve for at least three (3) years before retirement.
d. Must have held any one or a combination of the following positions for a minimum of two (2) years:
• Unit Head at Metro/Municipal/District Education Directorates
• Head of Department
• Senior Housemaster/Housemistress
• Guidance and Counselling Coordinator
In addition to the above requirements, applicants must have a satisfactory work history and conduct with the Ghana Education Service. They must also be willing to accept appointment and postings to any school within the region where there is a vacancy for Assistant Head.
To apply, interested applicants should obtain the application forms from the Regional Education Office or the various Metro/Municipal/District Education Directorates. Five (4) copies of the completed application forms must be submitted along with Confidential and Performance Appraisal Reports by the supervising Head of the applicant, certified copies of all relevant certificates and promotion letters, and a Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
The Regional Education Office in Cape Coast must receive the completed application forms no later than Tuesday, 11th April, 2023, through the Metro/Municipal/District Education Offices. Photocopies of filled application forms and late submissions will not be accepted.
