Alex Opoku Manu and Benjamin Eyram Nana Kwame Degbey from Ghana take first and second positions, respectively, at the 71st annual council meeting of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Banjul, Gambia.
We are thrilled to announce that two outstanding students from St James Seminary SHS, Sunyani, have received recognition for their exceptional performance in the 2022 WASSCE. Alex Opoku Manu and Benjamin Eyram Nana Kwame Degbey made Ghana proud by taking the first and second positions respectively.
The award ceremony took place during the 71st annual council meeting of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Banjul, Gambia, from the 13th to 17th of March 2023. Odigigbo Chioma Blessing of Nigeria was also recognized and awarded the third position.
The Director-General, Dr Eric Nkansah, led Ghana's delegation, which included Father Owusu Sekyere, Headmaster of Opoku Ware School, to attend the five-day programme. The President of the Republic of Gambia, H.E. Adama Barrow, officially opened the event.
