JUST IN: GES Interdicts Fijai SHS Headmaster over Illegal Fees Collection

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Mr. Kenneth Agbomadze, the Headmaster of Fijai Senior High School, pending further investigation into an alleged collection of illegal fees in the school. The interdiction, which took effect immediately, requires Mr. Agbomadze to handover the administration of the school to the Western Regional Director of Education.

The GES's decision to interdict the Headmaster follows allegations of illegal fees collection leveled against him by some students and parents. The GES, through its investigative committee, will investigate the allegations and submit its report to Management within two weeks.
The GES has consistently warned heads of schools against collecting illegal fees from students, as it is against the law and undermines the government's effort to provide free and quality education to all Ghanaian children.

The interdiction of Mr. Agbomadze is a clear indication that the GES will not tolerate any act of indiscipline or corruption in the education sector. The GES is committed to ensuring that every child in Ghana has access to quality education without any financial barriers.

Parents and students are encouraged to report any act of illegal fees collection or any other form of corruption in the education sector to the appropriate authorities. The GES assures the public that it will investigate and take appropriate actions against any individual found culpable of such acts.
