On May 1, 2023, two young students, David Nyame and Tiwaah Regina, lost their lives in a tragic drowning incident in Bosompem, a river at Sankore in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The students, aged 14 and 15, were in their second year of studies at Sankore Preparatory school.
