“If this country must move forward in the right direction, we must invest in education which is the only platform for preparing nation builders for tomorrow.

“The Minister for Education has also assured me that this year, we’ll start the replacement textbooks with laptops that have textbooks embedded in Senior high Schools,” he said on Saturday.

According to Dr. Bawumia, investing in education is essential for propelling the country forward in the right direction. Education serves as the vital platform for preparing the future nation builders. He further mentioned that the Minister for Education has assured him that the replacement of textbooks with laptops, which integrate embedded textbooks, will commence this year in Senior High Schools.

This innovative initiative follows the recent launch of the One-teacher One-laptop project on September 3, 2021, by the government. The project aims to provide modern teaching materials to Senior High School teachers, facilitating effective teaching and learning. As of December 11, 2021, the Ghana Education Service reported that 80% of the laptops designated for teachers had already been distributed.
