The Ghana Education Service (GES) has recently announced the initiation of regional-level training for District and School IT Officers as a significant step in the implementation of the One-Student, One Tablet Project. This development was disclosed in a statement issued by the GES on June 6, 2023, and was signed by the acting Deputy Director-General, Stephen Kwaku Owusu.

The training program is being carried out in collaboration with KA Technologies (KAT) following the successful completion of the Trainers of Trainers (TOT) Programme. The regional-level training sessions are scheduled to commence on June 12, 2023, and have been designed to achieve multiple outcomes that are crucial to the integration of tablets and smart classrooms into Ghana's education system.
To ensure comprehensive coverage, the training sessions will be held across all 16 regional capitals throughout the country. In light of this, the Ghana Education Service has requested Regional Directors of Education to officially notify the Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education within their respective regions about the upcoming training. It is of utmost importance that all district and school IT officers actively participate in this essential training program.
