The Harrowing Attack:

Reports indicate that Baaba Moses repeatedly slashed his wife, Paulina Agruba, with a machete, causing severe injuries to her face, head, and arms. The motive behind this horrific act stemmed from a dispute over funeral contributions received by Paulina during her father's burial. Yakubu, Paulina's husband, demanded a share of the funds, while Paulina insisted that the money was intended for the education fees and essential expenses of their three children. Unable to reach an agreement, a heated argument ensued between the couple, culminating in the ambush and brutal attack on Paulina as she was returning home from the farm.

Capture and Previous Incidents:

After committing this heinous crime, Baaba Moses fled the scene, prompting a manhunt by concerned residents. Eventually, he was apprehended at his hideout. It is worth noting that this was not the first instance of conflict between the couple. Yakubu had previously issued threats to harm Paulina, leading to his arrest following a complaint made to the police. While both individuals hail from the Northern part of Ghana, they have been residing in Akyem Pankese for the past fifteen years.
