From 8th to 10th September, 2023, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), in conjunction with the Ghana Education Service (GES), engaged representatives including headteachers and some subject teachers from the thirty-one (31) SHSs selected for the curriculum trial.
The meeting also had representatives from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) in attendance. The exercise formed part of NaCCA/GES preparedness for the revised curriculum pilot, which is expected to kick-start in December 2023. The programme took place at the Eastern Premier Hotel, Koforidua.
Deliberations were engaging, interactive and fruitful between NaCCA, GES and the trial schools, evolving doable school-level and national-level strategies and activities to support the trial exercise.
NaCCA, GES, and the trial schools collectively committed to work in unison for the success of the curriculum’s trial objectives to effectively position the country to ensure its seamless roll-out in 2024.
