GES Issues Warning on Unapproved Teacher Transfers 

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has observed that several teachers have been transferred between districts without the necessary approvals or consultations with the Regional Directors of Education. 

These unauthorized transfers not only disrupt the educational process but also violate established protocols designed to ensure that such decisions serve the best interests of both teachers and students.

In response, GES management has directed all Regional Directors of Education to immediately reverse any unauthorized teacher transfers conducted by Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education within their jurisdictions. Additionally, all further unapproved transfers are to be halted until further notice from GES management.

It has come to the notice o the management of Ghana Education Service (GES) that several teachers habe been transferred within the various districts without appropriate approval or consultation with the respective Regional Directors of Education. These unapproved Transfer of Teachers do not only disrupt the educational process but also undermines the established protocols designed to ensure that such transfers are done in the best interest of both teachers and students. Accordingly, management of GES is directing all Regional Directors o Education to ensure that all Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education within their jurisdiction reverse all Unauthorized transfers with immediate effect and cease further unapproved transfer if teachers within the districts until further notice from management.
