UPDATE ON COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT
Management was
invited by the Honourable Minister to a meeting with the Leadership of the
Teacher Unions on Monday, 30th September, 2024 to discuss the remaining items on
the Collective Agreement for implementation as well as other outstanding
issues.
Considerable
progress has been made regarding the implementation of the remaining items in
the Agreement, leading to an understanding between the Ministry of Education,
the Ghana Education Service and Teacher Unions.

Regional Directors
are kindly requested to bring this information to the attention of all teachers
through their respective Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education and
ensure that teachers remain in the classroom with the learners to focus on
teaching and learning while the outstanding issues continue to be dealt with.
Management also
wishes to use the opportunity to thank teachers for their dedicated service and
continued support, especially as the world celebrates teachers this week.
