Update on 2025 Salary Negotiations, Digital Support Allowance to be paid in November and Other Benefits

GHANA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS (GNAT) DEPARTMENT OF COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Department of Compensation and Benefits has several updates. Here are the key points.

1. CPDA Payment: The 100% negotiated CPDA for 2024/25 has been paid in September 2024, with 200 for CPD training and 100 license renewal deducted as agreed in the signed Collective Agreement.

2. Digital Support Allowance: The maiden 800 Digital Support Allowance is due for payment in November, 2024.

3. Deprived Area Allowance: Plans are underway to negotiate figures for the Deprived Area Allowance.

4. Outstanding Issues: All other outstanding issues in the CA are being addressed.

5. Promotion and Upgrading: Issue of reactivation/promotion placement/upgrading and other related HRMIS issues are being given the urgency it needs through CAGD, PSC and GES Management.

6. Minimum Wage and Base Pay: Negotiation for 2025 minimum wage and base pay will commence soon, with a promised salary increase effective January 2025.
